Dance of the Divine Feminine and Masculine

Presenter: Valerie Sher, Ph.D. 

Event Details: Being assertive, goal/action oriented, disciplined, and linear are juxtaposed with being receptive, yielding, relationship-oriented, and circular. Regardless of gender or sexual identity, we often flow between the many aspects of the Masculine and Feminine psychological principles as the present moment dictates or find ourselves stuck and overly identified with a particular aspect of ourselves.

Be guided in movement and breath to experience and express different aspects of your self in the rich archetypal realms of the Little Girl/Boy, Mother/Father, Princess/Prince, Queen/King, Lover, Warrior, Wise Woman/Sage, and Dark Feminine/Masculine – and whoever else shows up!

Presenter Bio: Valerie Sher, Ph.D., is a mind/body wellness coach as well as the Executive Director of the Center for the Divine Feminine. Her work with men and women is guided by an underlying effort at creating personal and cultural change in embodiment, full expression of the self, and finding a flow and sacred union of the Divine Feminine and Masculine within ourselves and in relationship to others.

Center for the Divine Feminine

The Center for the Divine Feminine at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology (ITP) supports the exploration, education and embodiment of all aspects of the divine feminine. The Center will nurture and cultivate a healthy marriage of masculine and feminine principles in our society by providing:

• Education through workshops, speaker events, articles and newsletters.
• Support of student and faculty research for dissertations and papers.
• Opportunities for increased networking, communication and support for the school and the community as we work in this area.
• Ritual and sacred celebration and circles to call forth the divine feminine through prayer, sharing, sitting and embodiment of these principles.
